The following crimes are reported Jan. 9-15 in the Hollywood area.

More than 20 crimes were reported Jan. 9-15 in the Hollywood area, according to the LAPD's Crime Mapping website, which aggregates daily crime reports directly from the police department.

Homicides (1): 2:06 a.m. Jan. 13, 1700 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard. Read more about this crime here.

Assaults (3): 5 p.m. Jan. 9, Vine and Selma. Assault with deadly weapon.

Robberies (3):

  • 10:30 a.m. Jan. 11, 6700 block of West Sunset Boulevard. Attempted robbery.
  • 6:30 a.m. Jan. 12, Selma Avenue and Cassil Place.
  • 3:15 a.m. Jan. 13, Selma Avenue and Cassil Place.

Stolen cars (1): 10 p.m. Jan. 12, Franklin and Las Palmas.

Thefts/larcenies (10): 1 a.m. Jan. 13, 1600 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard. Petty theft - value of loss $950 and under.

Vehicle break-ins/thefts (5): 7:15 p.m. Jan. 11, Fuller Avenue and Franklin Avenue. Petty theft from vehicle - value of loss $950 and under.
