​Dads and Their Families Invited to a Fun Family Day on Sunday

Every week on Sunday afternoons, the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles hosts Family Day, a free family event open to everyone in the community.

This coming Father's Day, June 16th, will see all sorts of fun activities for the whole family and will cater to Dads in particular. In addition to a number of different sports activities, they will also have an arts & crafts station where kids can make their own gifts for their fathers. There will be raffles every hour where Dads have the opportunity to win great prizes. There will be a complimentary BBQ and more.

"A strong family union is very important to us here at the church.", explains Courtney Gahwiler, the Public Relations Director for the LA church. “L. Ron Hubbard said, ‘When children become unimportant to a society, that society has forfeited its future.’ Thus, we started to offer a positive, drug-free environment for families in our community each week.”

This week's Family Day is being sponsored by The Way to Happiness Los Angeles and there will be a scavenger hunt, face painting, a bouncy castle and more.

Family Day is located across from Kaiser Hospital at the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles at 4810 Sunset Blvd. Activities start at 1pm and continue until 5pm.
