Flowers Placed on Annette Funicello's Walk of Fame Star

Funicello dies from complications of multiple sclerosis.

Flowers were placed on Annette Funicello's Hollywood Walk of Fame star in remembrance of the entertainer who died Monday. She was 70.  

Funicello was one of the original and most popular Mouseketeers on "The Mickey Mouse Club" before starring in a series of beach party movies with Frankie Avalon.

She died Monday at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield from complications of multiple sclerosis, which she battled for more than 25 years, according to the Burbank-based Walt Disney Co.

The flowers were placed on Funicello's star Monday afternoon. The star is located at 6834 Hollywood Blvd., in front of the Disney Soda Fountain.
