Flowers to Be Placed on Jonathan Winters' Walk of Fame Star

Winters dies Thursday at his home in Montecito.

Flowers will be placed on Jonathan Winters' Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Friday in remembrance of the comedian who died Thursday at his home in Montecito. He was 87.

Winters appeared in nearly 50 movies, including "The Russians are Coming, The Russians are Coming." In the hit comedy "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World," he played a slow-witted but burly truck driver who takes out his rage on a pair of gas station attendants in a memorable fight scene that left the station flattened.

Winters had his own television show on CBS in the early 1970s. He later played Mork's son in the hit TV show "Mork & Mindy," alongside comic Robin Williams, who patterned his frenetic style after Winters.
