HOLLYWOOD, CA — Hollywood food lovers should be prepping their taste buds for the arrival of Gigi's, a new French Bistro opening Friday in the heart of the Media District. Although it's stunning interior dining room won't welcome guests just yet due to the pandemic, Gigi's will seat up to 40 patrons at a time in its outdoor patio.

The restaurant is located at 904 N Sycamore Ave., near Santa Monica Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

Owned by New Yorker Alexander Wilmot, Gigi's will serve up classy cocktails and French dishes in an ornate, impressive setting. The interior itself was the final design of Osvaldo Maiozzi, a much-accomplished architect who died in May.

The centerpiece of Gigi's is its imposing, 360 degree bar stocked high with wine, congac, and plenty more. Executive chef Matt Bollinger designed the menu, blending Californian and French cuisine.

The dining room will seat 60 people once it is safe to do so. For now, the patio is available for reservations from 5 p.m. to midnight on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, and until 2 a.m. on Thursday and Saturday.
