Griffith Park Fire Burns Near Greek Theatre
LAFD Arson was investigating reports of a person accused of starting the fire.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A brush fire sprang up in Griffith Park Wednesday morning near the Greek Theater. The fire started around 10:33 a.m. around 152 Griffith Park, in heavy brush with low wind according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire was burning uphill toward Griffith Observatory, Stewart said. Containment was reached at 11:10 a.m., with 55 firefighters working to extinguish any lingering flames.
All air resources have been released and no injuries were reported. LAFD Arson investigator was looking into reports about a person who may have started the fire.
