Hollywood Dancers Can Apply For $5000 NYC Scholarship
Young dancers aged 18-22 can take a step toward their New York dreams with this scholarship.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Looking to trade in the L.A. palm trees for the bright lights of New York City? Young dancers in Hollywood can now apply for the Ann Reinking Scholarship, which will help make that dream possible.
The scholarship, distributed by the arts organization Off The Lane, is open to dancers aged 18-22 who are hoping to pursue a dance and/or theatrical career in New York. Applicants must submit a one minute video on their career goals and why they want to move to New York, along with two contrasting dance pieces no longer than four minutes in total.
Contenders will also need to submit a headshot and a letter of recommendation. Applications are open until June 30 and can be submitted here.

"Inspired by Annie’s own story of moving to New York with little more than a dream, this scholarship will provide monetary support and mentorship by creating community, a home base and network of people in the industry to set them on a path of success and give them a leg up in the business," Off the Lane said. "The program is devoted to creating this legacy for Annie that will carry on her humanity, love and artistry not only as a dancer, but as a choreographer and collaborator in the next generation of artists."
