Hollywood High School Alumnus Named LAPD Chief Cadet

The 19-year-old woman has been a cadet since 2010.

A Cal State Los Angeles communications student is the new Los Angeles Police Chief Cadet, it was announced today.

Laura Isabel Mendoza, 19, has been a cadet since 2010.

“I plan on being a mentor and help motivate those that need a little push to be a better version of themselves,” Mendoza said.

Mendoza is a graduate of Hollywood High School, where she had a 4.1 grade point average on a 4.0 average, getting extra credit for honors and advanced placement classes.
