Hollywood Sign Makeover Project Underway

The work is the most extensive effort to spruce up the sign in nearly 35 years.

The Hollywood Sign is getting ready to celebrate its 90th anniversary next year, which means it's time to prep the iconic landmark for the milestone event.

A major refurbishing effort began Tuesday as crews prepared to repaint the landmark its signature white.

Los Angeles-based painting company, Duggan & Associates, are tasked with the job estimated to be completed in eight to to ten weeks.
