Hollywood Today: Neighborhood Council Committee to Discuss Proposed Target Store
Also: Used Book Sale at Will & Ariel Durant Branch Library and Free Film Series at LACMA

The Hollywood Studio District Neighborhood Council's Planning and Land Use Management Committee  Saturday to discuss the proposed development of a Target Store at Sunset Boulevard and Western Avenue. Also up for discussion are a proposed restaurant and bar in the historic Mayer/Bricker building at 5500 Hollywood Blvd. and a follow up position letter summing up the PLUM committee's stance on the Hollywood Community Plan update. [Full Agenda]

- Enjoy a free film series, "Contested Visions in Latin America," from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art located at 5905 Wilshire Blvd. The event will be curated by Marlene Dermer who is the co-director of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF). The series takes place over two days and will explore themes from the exhibition through cinema. Free tickets can be reserved by calling 323-857-6000.
