Inside The World Premiere Of "Star Wars: The Last Jedi"

Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Mark Hamill were just some of the celebrities bringing their star power to the red carpet.

On Saturday evening, the Force was awoken once again in downtown Los Angeles, as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” had its world premiere at the Shrine Auditorium in Hollywood. The buzz on the red carpet, which featured a four-story AT-AT walker vehicle, was immeasurably palpable as its stars dazzled everyone.

Before the premiere screening began, director Rian Johnson paid tribute to Carrie Fisher. “I want to dedicate tonight to Carrie," he said from the stage where the entire cast assembled. “I know she’s up there right now flipping me the bird, saying, ‘Damn it Rian, how dare you bring the mood down and make this night a solemn tribute?’ So, let’s all have a blast together for Carrie.”

Then he uttered the words that everyone wanted to hear that evening: “You guys are the first audience ever to see this. You ready to see a ‘Star Wars’ movie?” Roars of delight from the crowd filled the entire auditorium.
