LAX Jammed Up By U.S. Customs Computer Problems
Travelers should be prepared for long lines at LAX and major airports around the nation due to a problem affecting U.S. Customs computers.
LOS ANGELES, CA —Los Angeles International Airport along with with several other major U.S. airports are jammed up by long lines friday due to a problem affecting U.S. Customs and Border Protection computers, officials said.
Several outlets are reporting that John F. Kennedy Airport in New York and Dulles International Airport near Washington, D.C., are also mired in similar problems.
"@CBP systems are experiencing an issue which appears to be impacting multiple airports including LAX," airport officials tweeted at 1:33 p.m. "Officers are processing passengers manually so please check with your airline for the latest status of any flight impacts. More details as they become available."
