Man Beaten To Death On Melrose Avenue, Killers At Large
Police found the body of a 49-year-old man in a crosswalk on Melrose Avenue Friday and are looking for a man and a woman.
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was beaten to death on Melrose Avenue in the early morning hours Friday, and police are looking for his killers.
Witnesses flagged down Los Angeles Police Department officers, who found the victim's body in a crosswalk at Melrose Avenue near La Cienega Boulevard. Los Angeles Sheriff's Department deputies had also been called to the scene at 8500 block of Melrose Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. to respond to reports of an argument in the street.
The 49-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's department.

According to detectives, the man was seen arguing with a woman while leaving a rooftop bar in the area shortly before his death.
"It looks like our victim fell to the ground and then was possibly stomped or kicked repeatedly in the head," sheriff's Lt. Derrick Alfred told ABC7.

The suspects, a man and a woman, ran from the scene and were being sought by authorities.
"The victim appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma," sheriff's Deputy Alejandra Parra said in a written release.
Authorities are not releasing the identity of the victim pending the notification of his family.
