Tom Holland plays the man with the "spidey sense" in "Homecoming," the latest attempt to revitalize the superhero franchise. In this reboot that picks up several months after the events of 2016's "Captain America: Civil War," Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) becomes Spider-Man’s mentor as he faces a villain named Vulture (Michael Keaton). Simply put, this is a superhero rival worth seeing.

See it. Holland and that tech-based suit belong together.

“A Ghost Story” — Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, directed by David Lowery

Don't be fooled: This is not a horror movie. As a white-sheeted ghost, Casey Affleck, takes on an existence that is remarkably untethered by time. Seconds could be hours, hours could be months as he watches over his bereft wife (Rooney Mara) and other life on earth that he once recognized. Director Lowery creates a poignant exploration of love and loss in “A Ghost Story.”

See it. Packed with surprises, this Sundance standout is bold and beautiful.
