Nithya Raman Seeks Applications For Several Office Positions

The new councilwoman is looking to hire a legislative director, communications deputy and field managers.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — A few weeks into her position on City Council, Nithya Raman is looking to fill out the final positions in her office. The councilwoman is aiming to hire a legislative director, communications deputy, and field managers for neighborhoods and tenant protections.

Legislative directors would work on developing policy to fix housing, racial justice, and climate issues in Los Angeles, among other job responsibilities. A communications deputy would draft press releases and statements, manage social media accounts, and handle all media requests.

Field managers would focus on engaging with constituents and community groups, identifying neighborhood priorities, and working to find governmental and nongovernmental solutions to local concerns.
