Play the Wii U at Hollywood & Highland

Keep some of these items in mind today:

• Starting today and ending on Sept. 2, the Central Courtyard at Hollywood & Highland will be the spot to play around with Nintendo's Wii U gaming system. It's part of Nintendo's tour to get people familiarized with Wii U to either just have fun or perhaps plant the seed for some holiday gift ideas.

• Arclight Hollywood will be offering the latest installment in its Sweet Summer series on Saturday, this time around the movie Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. The event typically involves interactive treat-making, activities and chances for photos. 

• Margaret Pellegrini, one of the Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz, died earlier this week. Flowers were placed on her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
