Police Seeking Hit-and-Run Driver In Fatal Hollywood Incident

Authorities are seeking public help to find the hit-and-run motorist responsible for killing a pedestrian early Friday morning in Hollywood.

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Authorities are seeking the public's help in finding a hit-and-run motorist responsible for killing a pedestrian in the Hollywood area early Friday morning.

The pedestrian, a man about 30 years of age, was injured about 3 a.m. at Highland and Willoughby avenues and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. His name was withheld pending notification of his relatives.

According to police, the man was hit by a white late-model Mercedes C300 or similar vehicle that was northbound on Highland Avenue. No description was available of the motorist.

A standing reward of up to $50,000 is available from the city of Los Angeles for information that helps police solve fatal hit-and-runs.
