Scheduled Power Outage Underway In West Hollywood
Southern California Edison temporarily disconnected the power to upgrade equipment in the area.
WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Nearly 300 Southern California Edison customers were knocked off the power grid Tuesday morning during a planned power outage. SCE said they temporarily disconnected power to upgrade equipment in the area.
273 customers were taken offline, according to SCE. Power is expected to be restored by 4 p.m.
"SCE will be performing important work on the electrical system in your area that will cause the power to be out temporarily," the company said. "During this unprecedented time, SCE continues to complete work that is necessary to protect public safety, reduce wildfire risk, complete customer-requested efforts and maintain and improve reliability on the electric system. We do not take the decision to proceed with this outage lightly and our teams are working to shorten the duration as much as possible. We appreciate your patience.
