Suspect Killed, 4 Hospitalized In Botched Hollywood Robbery

Three suspects attempted to rob three men outside a home in the Hollywood Hills, before all parties got into a shootout

HOLLYWOOD, CA — An attempted robbery suspect was killed Friday morning in a botched robbery attempt in the Hollywood Hills that left three victims hospitalized, one of whom was in critical condition, police said.

Los Angeles Police Department Officer Joe Todd said three suspects attempted to rob three people at 1474 Blue Jay Way around 2:05 a.m. One suspect shot at the victims and hit all three, according to Todd.

One of the victims then returned fire, wounding all three suspects who then fled in a car.

Police caught up with the suspects at Doheny Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills after their car had a flat tire. One of them was pronounced dead while the others were taken into custody, one of whom was taken to a hospital.

All three victims were hospitalized, one of whom was in critical condition.

The home was owned by the founder and CEO of Fashion Nova, according to NBC. Fox11 reported a business executive at the company was arriving at the home with his friend and security guard after an event when the three suspects, who had apparently been following them, jumped out of the car to rob them.
