Traffic Alert! 101 Freeway Closures Planned

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- A stretch of the 101 freeway will be closed from Sunday, Aug. 28 through Wednesday, Aug. 31.

From midnight to 5 a.m. on each of those days, the freeway will be closed in both directions between Glendale Boulevard and Cahuenga Boulevard.

The closure is due to a $19 million repaving project of the freeway where crews will install loop detectors to collect real-time traffic data.

The closure could be extended for another week.
