What's New On Netflix: April 2020

The more we practice social distancing and sheltering in place, the more we rely on streaming entertainment to make the most of our days and nights. And luckily, Netflix has a new slate of movies, TV series, specials and documentaries, all set to be released throughout April.

Among the Netflix Original movies to look forward to this month include action-thriller “Extraction,” starring Chris Hemsworth as a mercenary on a deadly mission to rescue the son of a crime lord. Plus, don't miss out on the comedy “Coffee & Kareem,” starring Taraji P. Henson as a mom whose 12-year-old son (Terrence Little Gardenhigh) schemes to scare away her boyfriend (Ed Helms).

Meanwhile, a few Netflix Originals series will also make their debut, including “The Midnight Gospel,” “Never Have I Ever,” “#blackAF,” “Brews Brothers” and “Outer Banks.” You can also expect new seasons of “The Last Kingdom,” “After Life,” “The House of Flowers” and more.

The streaming platform also welcomes the arrival of “Despicable Me,” “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” “The Social Network,” “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” “Just Friends" and the entire collection of the “Lethal Weapon” movie series.

Looking for a new documentary to binge? You'll want to consider “Murder to Mercy: The Cyntoia Brown Story,” “A Secret Love” and “How to Fix a Drug Scandal.”
