What's New On Netflix: January 2020

Happy New Year! It’s time to bid farewell to 2019 and ring in 2020. And what better way to do so than with a trip to Netflix land? This January, a trove of new movies, TV shows and Netflix originals will be available for your streaming pleasure.

Get ready for critically acclaimed films such as “Julie and Julia,” starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams as two chefs who share a passion for fearlessness and butter, as well as “Catch Me If You Can,” starring Tom Hanks and Leonardo Di Caprio as two men caught in a cat-and-mouse game. Meanwhile, Di Caprio also dazzles in Christopher Nolan’s spectacularly cerebral and twisty film, “Inception,” as a thief who can steal thoughts and ideas.

Other highlights this month include Matt Damon’s “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” Naomi Watt’s “The Ring,” George Clooney’s “Up in the Air,” Tom Cruise’s “Magnolia,” Jeff Bridges’ “True Grit” and Guillermo del Toro’s sci-fi horror “Pan’s Labyrinth.”

Fans of old classic favorites are also in for a treat as Netflix welcomes “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.”

In terms of Netflix original content, top-rated series are set to return, including season 3 of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” season 2 of “Sex Education” and the final seasons of "Grace and Frankie," “BoJack Horseman” and "The Ranch."
