What's New On Netflix: May 2019

Even though the weather is warming up for spring, you might find yourself wanting to stay indoors once you find out what Netflix is releasing throughout the month of May.

First up in new releases is Zac Efron’s Netflix debut in the Ted Bundy biopic “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile,” in which Efron plays the notorious serial killer. “The Perfection” is another highly anticipated thriller that premieres this month, starring Allison Williams as a cello player whose quest for perfection takes a wicked turn.

Meanwhile, Amy Poehler makes her directorial debut in “Wine Country,” in which she also stars alongside "Saturday Night Live" co-alums Tina Fey and Maya Rudolph. For a darker comedy, check out Netflix’s “Dead to Me,” starring Christina Applegate as a temperamental widow.

Back for their second and third seasons, respectively, are Spike Lee’s “She’s Gotta Have It” and Joe Swanberg’s “Easy.”
