Woman Killed in Car Crash in Hollywood Hills

A woman was killed Monday when an SUV crashed into a tree in the Mount Olympus area, authorities said.

The woman died at the scene of the crash, which occurred shortly before 7 a.m. in the 2000 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities withheld the name of the woman, pending family notification. The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
