An American Family: The Art of Kathleen Strzelecki, the acclaimed art exhibition sponsored by the Lemon Grove Historical Society, has been held over in the Lemon Grove Library, 3001 School Lane, through Feb. 27 and is on view Monday-Saturday during library hours. Strzelecki's large scale portraits with their intense emotional and psychological content connect with the viewer on a visceral level. Working in mixed media and oils, the award-winning works, painted between 2002 and 2013, depict rites of passage in one family.
