ILSE HANNING LOOKS BACK AS ONLY SHE CAN
The acknowledged "den mother" of the Lemon Grove School District since the mid-1950s was a teacher, principal of Golden Avenue School, assistant superintendent of the district, co-chair of two successful bond issues in 1998 and 2008, and mentor to countless faculty, staff and students. Mrs. Hanning's famously amusing anecdotes, special insights and deep knowledge will focus particularly on how our school district changed with the infusion of immigrants from many lands. Refreshments will follow the presentation.
