"The Art of Lemon Grove," a exhibition from the Lemon Grove Historical Society showcasing 16 works by 11 artists spans more than a century, from Edgar Beidleman's plein air oil in 1894, to Alberto Treganza's water colors at the dawn of the 20th century, to mid-century artists in the Lemon Grove Art Association, to those working in the 21st century in the plein air tradition, portraiture, theatre set design, computer generated art and animation, book illustrations and more.
Featured artists include June Aguayo, Robert Barrett, Edgar Beidleman, Carolyn Chesy, Hettie Mae Hall, Janne LaValle, Jack Ofield, Ed Roxburgh, Kathleen Strzelecki, Adan Treganza and Alberto Owen Treganza. Of the group, four are living and prolifically active.
The exhibit will be on display through Sept. 29, 2013.
