Awesome Autumn Adventure at Toluca Lake Pumpkin Patch

Visitors enjoy orange globes of all sizes, a petting zoo, and a haunted maze.

A visit to the “most sincere” pumpkin patch on Halloween night didn’t score Linus anything, but put that pumpkin patch, along with a haunted maze and petting zoo, smack dab in the middle of Toluca Lake and there is a lot full of treats and fun for the entire family.

For Steve Benveniste, owner of , October is the beginning of a three-month-long celebration next to his popular flower shop on Riverside Drive. The flower shop opens up it’s annual this weekend, and later this year will become a Chistmas tree lot.

A tradition for the past 21 years, children and adults from all over the Valley visit the huge patch to pick out all kinds of pumpkins from two pounds up to 150 pounds, ranging in price from $2 up to $85. Varieties include baby, medium, and large size jack-o-lanterns, Cinderella pumpkins and white pumpkins amidst hay and ornamental scary scarecrows.

The haunted maze in the back of the patch consists of a number of small areas with plenty of fog, terrifying music, severed body parts, skeletons, tombstones and coffins. Guests can purchase food to feed the goats, sheep, pigs and chickens located in the petting zoo. Be sure to also view the hearse parked outside of the maze or on Riverside Drive.

The Haunted Maze has a $6 entrance fee, the petting zoo is $5, and it is free to stroll through the rows and pick out your favorite pumpkin.
