Dog Haus Offers Oktoberwurst Sausage

In honor of Oktoberfest and fall, Dog Haus locations are offering a special Oktoberwurst sausage through October 31st.

The limited-time sausage was created by Adam Gertler, in house sausage maker at Dog Haus, and features a 1/3 pound Cajun-spiced Emmentaler cheese-stuffed Bierwurst topped with caramelized onions, mustard aioli and chopped scallions. The new sausage is housed on a grilled King’s Hawaiian roll.

The new dish includes flavors of Cajun, fresh thyme and cheese.

Other popular sausages include The Fonz with spicy Italian, pastrami and a cheddar cheese sauce; Thai Fighter with spicy Thai currywurst, wild arugula, pickled jalapenos and a spicy basil aioli; Reservoir Hog with a polish kielbasa, Haus chili and slaw and yellow mustard; Das Brat with bratwurst, caramelized onions, sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard; Cocky Balboa with Italian chicken and mozzarella sausage, wild arugula, pickled peppers and a spicy aioli and the Sooo Veggie with a vegetarian smoked apple sausage, wild arugula, avocado, tomato and crispy onions.

Dog Haus is a casual hot dog concept known for gourmet hot dogs, sausages and burgers. They also offer brews on tap, premium shakes and sides. The first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena in 2010. Their all beef hot dogs and handcrafted sausages use no hormones and no antibiotics. Dog Haus currently has 25 locations in five states.
