Head to NoHo's Eclectic Wine Bar and Grille for a romantic pre or post theater dinner. Located within walking distance of many North Hollywood art galleries and playhouses, this contemporary artsy eatery with curved walls, modern paintings and candlelit tables offers a wide variety of seafood, pastas, steak and Mediterranean inspired dishes as well as interesting and affordable wine flights at the bar.

In the middle of Riverside Drive in downtown Toluca Lake lies a little slice of Italy at Prosecco Trattoria. Taking its name from Italy's dry sparkling wines, this charming eatery offers Northern Italian casserole specialties, pastas, pizzas, salads, fish and steak dishes. The frescoes of the Tuscan countryside, imported marble counters and enclosed patio make it a perfect setting for a first date or anniversary celebration.
4100 Cahuenga Blvd., Tolua Lake
This large but cozy Italian restaurant transports diners to Tuscany with its rustic dining room, copper moldings, outdoor bougainvillea lined enclosed heated patio and double sided fireplace. Authentic Italian dishes include osso buco, pumpkin ravioli, spaghetti carbonara and braised short ribs. After dinner, head to the intimate bar to share bellinis and listen to live jazz music.

Top Chef contestant Fabio Viviani's Italian bistro specializes in regional comfort cuisine. Divided into three warm yellow and brown eating areas, diners at Firenze can enjoy specialty cocktails and appetizers at the long bar, get a glimpse of the celebrity chef cooking in the open kitchen from the main dining room, or share an intimate meal in the back dining area. The extensive simple rustic Florentine menu includes ravioli filled with braised short ribs or spinach with a sage and brown butter sauce, grilled branzino and rack of lamb.
Hollywood Reservoir
Take the Hollywood Freeway and exit at Barham Boulevard, go to Lake Hollywood Drive and follow the road south until you see the lake.
Created to supply L.A. with water, the Hollywood Reservoir also provides city dwellers a relaxing place to commune with nature and each other. Located minutes away form Universal Studios and just below the Hollywood sign, the reservoir consists of two lakes surrounded by chaparral and pine trees. A meandering path surrounds the reservoir, providing a perfect setting for a romantic sunset walk or bike ride.
4252 Riverside Drive, Burbank
This 130-seat theater was opened in 1977 by Garry Marshall, film director and producer of the hit '70s sitcoms Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, the 130-seat theater is cozy. It provides Valley theatergoers an experience similar to Westwood’s Geffen Playhouse. Every seat is a good one in the two-story, 12,000-square-foot complex, named in memory of the Bronx Falcons, a 1950s athletic club Marshall belonged to in his youth.
