Alameda County Fair 2019: Deep Discounts, Festivals, Concerts
Fairgoers will enjoy cultural fests, a new ride, unique fair food, and a UFO exhibit. Patch has everything you need to know about the fair.
PLEASANTON, CA – Booked for an 18-day run from June 14 to July 7, the 2019 Alameda County Fair 2019 promises a fantastic line-up of attractions, headliner entertainment, and the return of old favorites.
The Fair's final Opening Day Cattle Drive, with cowboys and cowgirls guiding a herd of steers through downtown Pleasanton, will start at Del Valle Avenue and head onto Main Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 14. Admission is free until 3 p.m. on the first day of the fair.
Those who attend the fair will find adorable animals on exhibit, student artwork, vendors and plenty of traditional fair food menu items. Organizers said vendors are offering vegetarian corn dogs, Fruity Pebble shrimp po'boy sandwiches, filled funnel cakes and much more.

Fairgoers are encouraged to try the new "Mega Flip" ride and look for the"selfie spots" located throughout the fairgrounds. On June 28, there will be a Fireworks Spectacular at 9:45 p.m.
Fair dates and hours: Located at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, the fair runs Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. On July 4th, hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online and prices go up June 13. Dads get in free on Father’s Day. First responders enjoy free admission to the fair on July 4. Check the fair’s website to learn more about how to give back to the community and get into the fair for free
