Bart Trains Between Richmond, El Cerrito To Close Through Weekend
A bus bridge will shuttle passengers between BART's Richmond and El Cerrito Del Norte stations during the holiday weekend.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A bus bridge will shuttle passengers between BART's Richmond and El Cerrito Del Norte stations during the Presidents Day holiday weekend while crews continue work on major track upgrades.
The free AC Transit 72M route bus and dedicated shuttles are connecting the two stations on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, departing every 10 to 15 minutes. Riders who take the bus option should plan on an additional 15-20 minutes for their trips, BART officials said.
Riders can avoid delays by going directly to El Cerrito del Norte instead of the Richmond station.
On Sunday, BART is running a three-line service, with only the Richmond-Berryessa (Orange) line connecting at El Cerrito del Norte.

On Monday, Presidents Day, BART trains are running on a Saturday schedule, starting service around 8 a.m. and running trains every 30 mins.
This weekend is the third of five weekend track closures planned for the project, which involves replacement of nearly 50-year-old trackway components next to the Richmond station.
