Beloved Pleasanton Restaurant Chain Opens New Bay Area Location

The Bay Area favorite is making a comeback after shuttering all 50 locations across three states amid the pandemic.

PLEASANTON, CA — A favorite Bay Area restaurant chain, which was headquartered Pleasanton, has opened a new restaurant after closing all of its stores in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Specialty's Cafe and Bakery has opened a new location, with an outdoor patio, at 645 Ellis St. in Mountain View. Swing by from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays for a taste of the renowned breakfast and lunch spot. Indoor dining at 25 percent capacity is also available for patrons.

"We are making a comeback. Same quality. Same passion," the company wrote on its website. "And the same commitment to the simple things... Good coffee, good service, and great cookies. The best is yet to come. Now let's eat."
