PLEASANTON, CA — Firefighters extinguished a two-alarm vegetation fire in Pleasanton Saturday evening. The Amanda Fire, which burned about four acres, was reported in the area of Bernal Avenue and Amanda Place at 8:51 p.m.
The four-acre figure is modified downward from earlier acreage estimates that ranged up to 40 acres. Alameda County Fire Department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles had earlier pegged the acreage at 15, revised downward to reflect "updated mapping" of the burn area, she said.
Firefighters from Alameda County Fire, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Cal Fire crews worked together to douse the flames. No one was injured and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
