Burglars Swipe Jewelry at JC Penney

Police are looking for suspects in connection to a burglary at JC Penney early Thursday morning.

Burglars went to into JC Penney at the Stoneridge Mall early Thursday morning, smashed jewelry cases and left the store with the jewelry, the Contra Costa Times reports.

Police responded to the scene at about 2 a.m. after an alarm went off at the store. Mall security were the first to arrive on scene and found an unsecured door and two smashed jewelry cases.

No suspects were immediately identified, but surveillance cameras are being reviewed by police.
