PLEASANTON, CA — The has launched its Gift Pleasanton initiative to support local businesses and give back to shoppers.
Virtual gift cards bought at inPleasanton.com can be redeemed at any of the 30 local businesses participating in the effort, the city announced this week.
A wide range of local businesses are participating, such as McKays Taphouse & Beer Garden, Sabio on Main, Body Balance Fitness & Massage, Towne Center Books and Western Garden Nursery.

Retailers will recirculate 47 percent of money spent locally, while restaurants recirculate 74 percent of that money, according to the city.
Buy a $25 gift card, get a bonus $10 gift card. Those who spend $40 get another $15 and those who spend $75 get another $25.
