Cockroaches Found At Alberto's Cantina In Downtown Pleasanton
Alameda County health officials closed the popular restaurant on Wednesday after an inspector saw cockroaches, Pleasanton Weekly reported.
PLEASANTON, CA — Alberto's Cantina, a restaurant and bar in downtown Pleasanton, was closed Wednesday after an Alameda County Environmental Health Department inspector found dead cockroaches during a visit, Pleasanton Weekly reported. The inspection apparently came a day after the restaurant received a pest control treatment.
Alberto's Cantina, at 435 Main St., did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Pleasanton Weekly stopped by the restaurant Friday morning and could not find a visible red placard, which the county requires restaurants to display if they failed an inspection and had to close. An inspector was scheduled to arrive before noon Friday, and if all was well, the restaurant could reopen as soon as later Friday, the paper reported.
