I-580 Reopened After Crash, Diesel Spill Prompts Sig-Alert
Traffic was backed up to Livermore. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
PLEASANTON, CA — All lanes of the westbound side of Interstate 580 at the Interstate 680 interchange in Pleasanton have reopened Thursday morning after an early morning crash, fire, and diesel spill.
The wreck, which involved at least one big rig, was reported just before 1:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. Roads were back open by 7:30 a.m.
The wreck snarled traffic in the area.
