Fairgrounds To Host Summer Of Drive-In Movies In Pleasanton
Pack snacks, load up the kids, and enjoy a family-friendly film the old-school way Friday and Saturday nights beginning June 12.
PLEASANTON, CA — Get ready for a slice of nostalgia this summer — along with effortless social distancing — as the Alameda County Fairgrounds plans eight weeks of drive-in movie nights at the complex in Pleasanton.
The pop-up drive-in, featuring such family-friendly fare as "Goonies" and "Grease," opens June 12, and will run Friday and Saturday evenings through Aug. 1, excluding Saturday, July 4.
A $25 parking fee, available online, will be required for admittance and includes the movie ticket, along with one free general admission to the Alameda County Fair 2021. If parking space still is available on the show's date, tickets will be sold onsite for $30 per vehicle, fairgrounds officials said.

Operating simultaneously on the grounds on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. will be Grab-N-Go Food Trucks, with a varying roster of operators. Details here.
