Dan Fogelberg, 70s & 80s folk-rock icon, came on the scene with his second album produced by Joe Walsh and a subsequent tour as an opener for the Eagles in 1975. In an era where record producers often called the shots, Fogelberg was able to stick to his own artistic vision to create a discography that ranges from bluegrass and country to instrumental to pop and rock n’ roll. His biggest mainstream success came in the early 80’s with pop radio hits: “Longer”, “Leader of the Band,” and “Same Old Lang Syne.” He continued to record into the 90s, working with a wide range of musical talent and styles. He added a Christmas album in 1999 and a “Very Best of…” album was released in 2001. Fogelberg passed away in December 2007 after the resurgence of prostate cancer. His fans remember him for his soaring melodies, honesty in songwriting and true musicianship.

Don Campbell is a singer-songwriter of note, with a warm tenor voice, in the range of Vince Gill, Chris Isaak and Dan Fogelberg. A multi-instrumentalist and an award-winning songwriter in his own right, Don has recorded 10 albums of his own music and covers over the years. will admit that one of his biggest influences and inspirations in music came at age 16, when he discovered the music of Dan Fogelberg. This led to the decision to offer tribute concerts to the late folk-rock icon, and the ultimate recording of a Double CD release “Kites to Fly: Celebrating the Music of Dan Fogelberg.” As such, Don has been endorsed by the Fogelberg Association of Peoria. Prior to the pandemic, they were playing over 150 shows a year.
