Four Candidates Running for Open Pleasanton Council Seat
Mark Hamilton, David Miller, Olivia Sanwong and Kathy Narum are all running for the open seat.
Four candidates filed papers with the City of Pleasanton last week to officially declare their intention to run for the open Pleasanton City Council seat, according to Pleasanton city clerk Karen Diaz.
The seat opened with former councilman Jerry Thorne winning the mayoral race last November. The election, which will be by mail-in ballot only, is May 7.

- Mark Hamilton — a veteran and local businessman.
- David Miller — a smart phone engineer and executive.
- Olivia Sanwong — a market research analyst.
- Kathy Narum — a planning commissioner and businesswoman.

Ballots will begin to be mailed out on April 8 and April 22 is the last day to register to be eligible to vote.
