Free Bike Rodeo at New Leaf in Pleasanton

For fun and safety! Saturday, June 4, 11am-2pm

Families -- bring your kids' bikes and helmets, or we'll supply them. Bike East Bay’s certified instructors will lead skill-building activities and safety tips for kids in grades 3–6 (approximately) accompanied by a parent. The rodeo features a mock city course, skills building, and walking and bike instruction. Skills taught include: How to Perform a Bicycle Safety Check, Proper Helmet Fitting, Proper Starting and Stopping, Signaling and Communication, Shifting Gears, Scanning Ahead, Shoulder Checking, and Obstacle Avoidance.
