I-580 Lane Blocked In Pleasanton; Sig-Alert Issued

PLEASANTON, CA — The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-alert Wednesday afternoon after a tractor-trailer became disabled on Interstate 580 in Pleasanton.

CHP first received a report about the truck around 3 p.m., dispatch records show. It remained in the #3 lane of eastbound I-580 at I-680 as of 3:30 p.m.

As of 3:15 p.m., CHP hoped the road would reopen around 4 p.m., records indicate.

Traffic was nearly backed up to Castro Valley as of 3:30 p.m. The public should expect delays, CHP said.
