Driver Killed In Early Morning I-680 Crash In Sunol
Updated: A Walnut Creek man, 20, was ejected from his car and died at the hospital.
SUNOL, CA — A Walnut Creek man died early Thursday after his car rolled over on I-680.
The driver, 20, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his Toyota during the crash, according to the Dublin chapter of the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported just before 4:30 a.m. on southbound Interstate 680 north of Koopman Road in Sunol.
The driver was hospitalized at Eden Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, CHP said.

The driver's name has not been released as officials work to notify his family. The investigation is ongoing.
