Horse Racing Returns To AlCo Fairgrounds; Online Bets Accepted

No spectators will be allowed due to Alameda County health regulations, but outdoor dining at the Trackside Terrace will be allowed.

PLEASANTON, CA — Live horse racing will take place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton through July 26.

Races will be held beginning at 2:45 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, through July 26, according to a news release from the Alameda County Fair. Spectators are not allowed under Alameda County's health regulations, but visitors may pre-order meals to reserve tables of up to six people at the Trackside Terrace.

Online bets are available through smartphone apps and websites for DRF Bets, Xpressbet and TVG, Alameda County Fair said. Prize money totals $2.3 million. There will be $200,000 in prize money distributed during stakes races, including two on July 4, two on July 18 and one on July 25.

Anyone interested in dining at the Trackside Terrace must wear face coverings when not eating or drinking, will be subject to a temperature check and must answer questions about their health.

Meals are $65 per person.
