Police are searching for a man who was with a 15-year-old girl who was missing for more than week before she was found in Pleasanton on Tuesday, a Fremont police spokeswoman Geneva Bosques said.

Margarita Nunez Chavez was last seen at her uncle's home in the Irvington area of Fremont on May 4 before Pleasanton police found her.

Police tracked her heading toward the Stoneridge Shopping Mall, near Stoneridge Drive and Interstate Highway 680 in Pleasanton, when police found her and safely returned her to her mother.

Police believe she had gone away with a 30-year-old man in a stolen white Ford F150 pickup truck.

She was not with the 30-year-old when she was found, Bosques said.

Police are not treating the case as an abduction, but nevertheless are trying to locate the man, Bosques said.
