More Than 24K PG&E Customers Still Without Power

A severe winter storm passed through the region on Wednesday.

More than 24,000 PG&E customers remain without power Thursday morning in the region following a storm that came through the region Wednesday, according to the utility. As of 9 a.m., 10,302 North Bay customers, 5,997 on the Peninsula, 5,943 in the South Bay, 1,686 in the East Bay and 95 in San Francisco were affected by outages, PG&E officials said.

More than 34,000 customers didn't have power earlier Thursday. Crews worked to restore power overnight but were not able to access some locations because of downed trees, mudslides and closed roads, PG&E officials said.

There are also 18,243 customers along the Central Coast who are without power, according to PG&E.
