​Oakland-Alameda Co. Coliseum Naming Rights Cemented

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — A cloud-based communications provider will get the naming rights to the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, according to company officials. The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Authority awarded the rights to RingCentral Inc. at a May 31 board meeting, company officials said. The agreement is now pending formal approval from Major League Baseball. The funds from the deal will go to the Coliseum Authority to manage the facility.

"This is a tremendous win for the residents of Oakland and Alameda County. We are partnering with another important brand in the high-tech community and providing returns for the taxpayer," Coliseum Authority Executive Director Scott McKibben said in a statement.

Vlad Shmunis, Chairman, founder and CEO of RingCentral said in a statement: "We are excited to align our brand with the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum and work closely with the Coliseum Authority to improve the overall experience for all Coliseum-goers."

The Coliseum is currently home to MLB's Oakland Athletics and the NFL's Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are scheduled to leave for a new stadium in Las Vegas.
