Old Stanley Boulevard In Pleasanton Reopening After Month Closure

PLEASANTON, CA — After a one-month closure, the Old Stanley Boulevard intersection at First Street and Stanley Boulevard will reopen Wednesday at 5 p.m., city officials reported. The area had been closed for road improvements and realignment to accommodate better traffic flow for a new housing development currently under construction along First Street.
The closure was "the most efficient approach" to allow work to be completed in four weeks — while school is not in session — and to minimize traffic impacts, according to the city's website.
The schedule had been carefully organized to get Old Stanley Boulevard open before school starts on August 12.
