Opening Soon In Pleasanton: Lucky's Remodeled Flagship Store

To celebrate, Lucky California donated $35,000 to local organizations and more. See what the company has been up to.

PLEASANTON, CA — Lucky California is almost finished remodeling its flagship store in Pleasanton.

The grand opening of the store at 6155 W. Las Positas Blvd. is expected soon, though the pharmacy will continue to remain open in the meantime, the company announced. There will be weekend activities to celebrate the grand opening, the company said.

Lucky California, which operates 68 stores, could not immediately be reached to confirm the flagship store's expected opening date.

The company said it plans to offer traditional, local and diverse groceries at low prices.

The company donated a total of $35,000 to organizations such as the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council, Alameda County 4-H Club, Alameda County Food Bank. Donations were also given to: Amador Valley and Foothill high schools; Pleasanton, Thomas Hart and Harvest Park middle schools; and Donlon Elementary Schools.

The fiscal donations will support summer camp classes, book purchases, marching band and dance teams, healthy meals for families in need and and after-school programs.

Lucky California also donated drought-tolerant Crepe Myrtle trees to all Pleasanton Unified School District campuses in honor of Earth Day and vowed to contribute $20,000 in shelf-stable, healthy food for Alameda County Food Bank distributions for kids this summer.

The company announced the new team at its Pleasanton location will include Store Director Mario Guerrero, Center Store Market Manager Anthony Garcia, Fresh Market Manager Ruben Alvarez and Guest Services Manager Melissa Hershey.
